"BENEATH"
For this project my group and I decided to focus on body image dysmorphia and the effects it has had on the people that have suffered from it. By painting their bodies and asking the people to talk about their own experience and how they managed to get through the condition, they became more confident as we showed that everybody is beautiful regardless of what their appearance is.
"GIRL READING A LETTER"
"PULP FRICTION"
"GIRL READING A LETTER" is a short film based on the drawing by Johannes Vermeer. We were tasked to interpret the drwaing in our own way and create a short film based on our understanding of the piece of work. We decided to use the "Czech New Wave" style and add humorous effect to it in order to make it more entertaining. On this particular project I did work in the pre-production stage in the form of planning, camera operation in the production stage and helped with editing in the post-production stage.
"PULP FRICTION" is a short scene based on the famous film "Pulp Fiction". My team and I were tasked with re-creating a scene from a popular film while employing the "Czech New Wave" style in order to present it in a different aspect. For this particular project I took part in the pre-production stage in the form of planning, and camera operation work in the production stage.
"EVERYBODY WAS IN THE FIELDS"
"EVERYBODY WAS IN THE FIELDS" is a short film based on a paragraph from the book "Madame Bovary" written by Gustave Flaubert. We were tasked with producing a short film based on our personal interpretation of the paragraph. We decided to focus on the words "Everybody was in the fields" and by showing the poppies in the church yard to use them as a symbol of all the fallen soldiers in battle. My involvement in the project was planning in the pre-production stage, camera operation in the production stage and editing in post-production.
"FACE IT!" TV SHOW
"FACE IT!" is the first TV production format I worked on. The show was based on dreams versus nightmares and we were exploring some of the most common fears and phobias. Unfortunetaly the visuals do not look up to date as the studio we had available was extremely outdated however we made the most of it. For this project I took on the role of studio floor manager and I was working closely with the camera operators, presenters and guests. Getting directions from the director and producer of the show I was the only person who had reach in both the gallery and studio.
"THE TRUE PASSION OF FLAMENCO"
"THE TRUE PASSION OF FLAMENCO" was the very first project I worked on in university and it was about the Flameco festival which took place in the University. We aimed to represent the history behind it and learn more about the people that were involved in it. I really enjoyed working on this project as it was extremely interesting to learn about it and get first hand lessons in their dancing culture and values. For this project my involvment was pre-production plannin, camera operation and preseting in the production stage and editing in the post-production.
"A LIFETIME OF HOPE" Emma's Story
"A LIFTEIME OF HOPE" Emma's story is a documentary film about a woman who has had the toughest of upbringings. This particular doceumtary was produced under the "People to People" intiative which focused on telling the stories of unique people. Hearing and learning about Emma's journey through life was inspiring as despite of the many problems she faced since her childhood she did not give up hope and as hard it was she managed to start her own family and is now a proud mother of four wonderful childre. My involvement in this project was planning in pre-production, camera operation and direction in production and editing in the post-production stage.
"ISOLATION"
"ISOLATION" is a short drama film about a young man who suffers from the consequences of the reckless actions of a friend of his. It shows the emotional isolation and depression that dawns on the young man who has to live with the aftermath caused by an accident. My involvement in this project was pre-production planning.
"THE KEY COLLECTOR"
"The Key Collector" is a short film which I produced and co-wrote with a fellow media production students during my second year in university. For the project we raised a budget by crowdfunding. The experience and skills I gained through this project have helped me improve the quality of the projects I work on and has given me an insight in the world of media.
"BAUHAUSLE"
"Bauhausle" is a documentary film which I produced while on my international student year in Stuttgart, Germany. The Bauhausle student accomodation is on the HDM (Horschule der Medien) campus and accommodates thirty students who live together and maintain the house themselves.
My role in this project was research and planning in the pre-production stage, camera and DOP work in production and editing in the post-production stage. The experience I gained while on my international year has been amazing and has expanded my skillset.
